Where we ride

Jaipur International Airport is the primary airport serving Jaipur, the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Jaipur International Airport has been declared as one of the world’s best airports. You can opt to either fly to New Delhi and then take a 30-minute connecting flight to Jaipur or take the early morning scenic Shatabdi Express train, however this takes a very leisurely 5 hours to reach Jaipur. Upon arrival at the designated hotel, you will meet your guide, the team members and your fellow bikers. Following lunch, you will receive a quick but detailed briefing about the tour and then you will have the chance to head out for your first motorcycle ride. We appreciate you may be tired after your travels, but this is a worthwhile first-day excursion as you can make any necessary adjustments to your vehicle and familiarize yourself with the environment. Your free time in the evening will allow you scope to visit the nearby Nahargarh Fort and The Amber Fort which puts on a spectacular and breathtaking evening light and sound show.

Distance :  30 Kms

On day two you will arrive and spend the night at a campsite on the outskirts of Bikaner. You will be lodged in very comfortable Swiss Tents that come complete with their own toilet facilities. Before reaching your evening destination you will have an enthralling day taking in the central roads that cut through the visually stunning dry Sambhar Salt Lake. You will also visit the Tal Chapar Blackbuck Sanctuary which is a renowned bird haven.

Distance : 334 Kms

Day three will see us visit the streets of Bikaner and make an auspicious visit to the Karni Mata Temple. This visit will be like no other as the Temple is home to more than 20,000 rats! However, don’t panic this holy place is disease-free and the rodents carry no risk of Plague. You will need to keep in mind that the rats are treated as sacred beings and are to be respected and not treated as pests. Following the brief but memorable visit to the Temple we will get back on the road, travelling along the Highway until we reach Khudi which is on the border of Jaisalmer town. Here we will stay in traditional mud huts which are nestled within the infamous Khudi sand dunes. This is also a great time to experience some traditional Rajasthani cuisine.

Distance :  167 Kms

After sampling a local breakfast, we will take a ride around the sand dunes and then on to the ancient abandoned village of Kuldhara. A ghost town since the 1800s, it was abandoned by its inhabitants during the night for reasons that remain unknown.

We will then move on to the Golden Fort of Jaisalmer.

Following lunch and a trip back to the exquisite dunes of Khudi, you can give your bikes a rest and enjoy a camel ride or take in the dunes in a fast-action Jeep. If you still have any energy left after the high-octane day, then you can while-away the evening in front of a campfire taking in the local folk dancing.

Distance :  50 Kms

Following breakfast, we will head to the National Highway of Jodhpur and then take in 50 kilometers of back-road riding. The vast expanse is a perfect way to see the more rural and widespread side of India, with its vast flat lands and magnificent arid landscapes. In the evening, upon reaching Jodhpur, we recommend a trip to the Mehrangarh Fort in your free evening time.

Distance : 285 Kms

In the spirit of the evening’s special event we will take a relatively short ride today to that you are full of energy for the impending extravaganza.
