You’ll pass through the idyllic villages defining the borders of Great Himalayan National park. Journeying through the forest amidst a tree line of cedar and Pines is a surreal experience. True to the spirit of providing you with unique adventure, we shall be taking a small detour to visit Shangarh, which is a beautiful meadow perched atop a hill. We would be staying at a comfortable guest house in Jibhi. Reaching Jibhi around late afternoon would give us the evening free to explore some short hikes emanate from the village.

 Unspoiled Beauty

Day 5 we leave Banjar Valley behind and embark on a journey to Jhanjeli, a lesser-known gem. Staying true to this tour’s theme of short beautiful rides and plenty to explore, the day begins with a short ride to Jalori pass from where we hike for about 30 mins and reach Serolsar Lake. The journey today is a mix of thrilling mountain roads and serene forested stretches. Jhanjeli is renowned for its unspoiled beauty, offering a peaceful escape from the world.  We visit the Shikari Mata Temple in the evening. Perched on top of a hill, the temple is unique in that it has no roof and the view from the temple is simply breathtaking.

We continue our Journey in the heart of Himachal Pradesh in the lower Himalayan ranges as we ride from Jhanjeli to Rewalsar, a place of great spiritual significance for both Hindus and Buddhists alike. You would realise the abundance of beauty in the Himalayas as the landscape offers post card worthy sceneries one after the other as you approach the sacred Rewalsar lake. Our destination today is Chamba, a place known to every Indian through folk songs, but not something that tops the must see lists of travel influencers, partly because of its more famous neighbors like Dharamsala and Dalhousie. But we make sure we halt at Chamba as it’s a beautiful town with a very rich history. We visit the Champavati Temple, said to have been built in 16th Century and also the Bhuri Singh Museum in Chamba city which shares the glorious past of Chamba estate.

A short ride in terms of Kilometers but lots to see on the way. Our first stop is Khajjiar or “mini Switzerland” as it is called. A big meadow hidden deep in forests, it is a sight to behold. As we continue the ride to Dalhousie, a charming colonial-era hill station we pass through the scenic Subhash Baoli and Panchpula, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from Dainkund Peak. Dalhousie has an old world charm reminiscent of an era gone by and is a perfect option to stay with its beautiful little cafes, shops and good hotels.

On the last leg of your journey, we descend from the Himalayan ranges into the plains of Punjab. You would feel a marked difference in the temperature as the cool breeze of the mountains gives way to city air. The ride is approximately 220 kms and takes about 5-6 hours. Upon reaching Amritsar, we check into the hotel and take the evening to explore the city. Famous for its variety of Street food, Amritsar is a culinary delight that we encourage you to savor.

The last day of tour has some famous places lined up for you to visit. We begin the day with a visit to the Golden Temple, a preeminent spiritual site of Sikhism.
